Who Says I Can’t?
February 12th, 2010Hey Thrillionaires,
Jothy Rosenberg, our Thrillionaire of the Week (2/15/10), held an interview with Nik the other day. It was a great call all around! Head on over to Jothy’s blog at www.whosaysicant.org to see what all Nik had to say!
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to click over and check out Jothy’s new book titled, Who Says I Can’t.
Two words have the power to change a person’s outlook: good . . . considering. Jothy Rosenberg has heard this his whole life, starting at age sixteen when bone cancer led to an amputation of his right leg. Three years later, when cancer forced the removal of a lung and acted like a death sentence, this epithet continued. Rosenberg grew tired of only being “good considering” his disability. In the decades since, he has used athletics to overcome this social stigma. He turned his disability into a super-ability, often performing in challenging open water swims, cancer-fundraising bike rides, and treacherous skiing adventures better than “two-leggers.” And in the business world, when working in a reliable position failed to quench his need for risk taking, he plunged into entrepreneurship.
In his book, Rosenberg teaches by example how everyone can overcome life’s obstacles. He shows that when the world says you can’t, courage and determination prove you can be more than “good considering.”

This video blew me away. Jothy is nothing short of a walking, running, cycling, boating, swimming, MIRACLE! He proves, in short, that anyone is capable of anything! Let’s all get up and get going ! We can do it, we will do it!! Thank you for inspiring us, Jothy!
I’m following you on FaceBook and Twitter. I left you a short story about my brother who has a brain tumor and is awaiting an operation. Meanwhile, he’s out with his truck clearing peoples’ driveways in Michigan. One day he worked for 11 hours straight to clear the lanes for the Amish so they could get their buggies out. He was paid in firewood, a rack of pork ribs, a small amount of cash, and the promise of an apple pie. He’s as pleased as punch! He is a hero in my book, and Jothy YOU are a hero of magnanimous proportions! My very best to you!!
